LOS ANGELES — LeBron James announced Tuesday that he intends to play professional basketball until the age of 67, citing a desire to "see what happens" and "find out if my knees are just bluffing."
James has averaged 24.3 points this season, 9 of which he scored while visibly thinking about something else.
The 27-year extension was written on a napkin from a Cheesecake Factory in Brentwood. It also contained a partial grocery list that included "the good mustard."
James took no questions. He left the podium at exactly 2:00 PM, which he said was "my time to leave." No one argued.
